Polskie Składy Budowlane S.A. Group is the largest and fastest-growing network of building materials wholesalers and home & garden retail stores in Poland.
The PSB network comprises over 400 building materials depots, nearly 200 PSB-Mrówka stores, and 34 PSB-Profi shopping centers, operating throughout the entire country. Collectively, the depots and Mrówka stores employ approximately 11,000 personnel.
The company’s headquarters is located in Wełecz, near Busko-Zdrój, which is also the site of the Group’s Logistics Center. This facility includes warehouses, storage yards, and office buildings.
Implementation goal
Construction of a radio network
Benefits of implementation:
Secure communication
Efficient goods labeling
Online access to real-time inventory levels
Improved accuracy and productivity of warehouse staff
Rapid item identification
To streamline warehouse operations, the company’s management decided to implement new solutions, including an IT system, barcode labeling and scanning equipment, as well as an efficient communication infrastructure.
The company was seeking a partner capable not only of supplying radio devices, but also of designing the network, implementing the solution, delivering all necessary equipment, conducting system tests, and providing post-deployment technical support services.
SKK Networks activities
Prior to network deployment, SKK specialists conducted radio wave propagation measurements. The objective of these measurements was to determine the optimal solution, define the required number of access points (APs), and prepare the final network design. SKK specialists designed the network, delivered the equipment, and installed the wireless access points.
We selected SKK from among numerous bidders due to their outstanding references, and they did not disappoint. Our cooperation with SKK was highly effective, and the network operates reliably without any failures. We are planning to expand the system in the future with additional mobile devices. Choosing SKK as our supplier was a well-founded decision.

Results
In accordance with the project assumptions, the wireless network was designed to provide full coverage across all warehouse facilities, including the high-bay warehouse building as well as the external areas between buildings, such as access roads and the outdoor storage yard. As part of the network deployment for the warehouse management system, the client opted to extend coverage to the office area as well. Ensuring reliable wireless connectivity across such a large and heterogeneous environment required the implementation of multiple network technologies.
The system also includes 22 wireless terminals—proposed and supplied by SKK—used by PSB warehouse operators to perform logistics operations such as goods receipt and dispatch, inventory control, and real-time order picking. Additionally, several stationary and mobile printers, also delivered and installed by SKK, are used for printing labels for received goods, items being packaged in the warehouse, and shipments prepared for dispatch.
