Anton Röhr Logistyka Sp. z o.o. is a company operating in Mosina near Poznań since 2000, and is one of the subsidiaries of the Anton Röhr Logistics Group from Germany.
The Polish company specializes in warehouse logistics and the logistics of new furniture. Every day, the company handles the transport of around 80 incoming and 80 outgoing trucks. It currently employs nearly 150 people.
Before furniture produced in Poland and neighboring countries reaches customers in Germany, it is transported to a warehouse complex in Mosina. There, the process of order fulfillment takes place, in accordance with the orders placed by contractors.
Implementation goal
Building a wireless network
Benefits of implementation:
Network reliability and security
Efficient product identification
Faster order picking process
Professional labeling of warehouse locations
Error minimization
Increased work efficiency
As a result of the expansion of the warehouse space, the existing solution for warehouse operations proved to be inefficient. To ensure the proper functioning of the warehouse, Anton Röhr Logistyka decided to implement improvements. For this purpose, the company approached SKK Networks with the task of deploying a wireless network, introducing automatic product identification, and organizing the warehouse space more functionally.
I am very satisfied with the cooperation with SKK Networks. Their employees are top-class specialists who responded quickly to our needs during the implementation. Now, order picking in the warehouse is carried out quickly and accurately. What’s more, the solution allows for future expansion and the implementation of voice communication.
SKK Networks activities
SKK proposed the use of a Cisco wireless network, Honeywell terminals, and location signs. The wireless network, based on access points and a controller, allows centralized control and the ability to respond quickly to changes in the environment and circumstances by adjusting its operating parameters. This intelligent management significantly reduces the workload on administrators.
The construction of the wireless network at Anton Röhr Logistyka’s warehouse was preceded by radio wave propagation measurements. SKK specialists identified sources of interference within the frequency ranges used by the WLAN and areas where significant signal attenuation and dispersion occurred. These professional measurements enabled the precise design of the network. Afterwards, SKK specialists carried out the installation and configuration of devices operating within the system.

To organize the locations and positions within the warehouse, location plates were implemented.
Special metal plates mounted in the floor provide a highly durable solution. They are characterized by high strength and resistance to damage, including scratches that could occur, for example, when sliding pallets under a rack or driving over them with a forklift. Using these location plates, nearly 5,000 pallet positions were marked.
Results
The solution implemented by SKK for Anton Röhr Logistyka provides great mobility—employees have constant access to the network at every point within the warehouse. The installed wireless network, equipped with top-quality hardware, guarantees reliability.
All warehouse operations run smoothly without any downtime, which translates into time savings and increased work efficiency. It’s worth noting that the implemented type of network is secure, ensuring that all company-related data remains protected and does not leak outside.
By equipping employees with branded wireless terminals, the identification of goods during order picking and other operations is significantly more efficient. This is also made possible by the professionally built and efficiently operating wireless network.
Additionally, organizing the warehouse space through specialized labeling greatly facilitates the execution of all activities, which are now much faster and less prone to error. As part of the collaboration, SKK conducted appropriate training for employees and provided service and warranty support.
